Roots & Shoots 上海根与芽青少年活动中心成立于1999年11月，负责根与芽活动在上海及周边地区的发展。上海根与芽青少年活动中心于2004年11月经中华人民共和国政府批准，成为国内第一个涉外的非营利组织。它通过开展保护环境，爱护动物和关心他人的活动，帮助年轻人通过自己的努力创造美好的未来。根与芽为年青人提供的是一个探究自身与环境，大自然和人类社会之间相互关系的平台，以及通过自己的行动改善身边事务的机会。参与根与芽的学生在开展项目的同时也在不断的完善自我。
此次的演出根与芽集结了上海的6个出色的乐队，以及一个来自于挪威的嘉宾乐队。目的旨在为“百万植树”项目募款，用于在内蒙古种植100万棵树木。
所以，这是一次非常有意义的公益演出，根与芽和育音堂将会捐出所有门票收入。50元=捐助2棵树木！！
